Well I'm unbelievably rusty on Caprica these days (which is weird as I feel much less so with BSG), but let's see what I can do...
* The first character I first fell in love with: That's a tough one as I didn't warm immediately to any of them. Maybe Zoe, since I thought she was very honestly written - a properly bratty daughter, sometimes very brave, other times heartbreakingly naive, and (like Daniel) possibly too clever for her own good. She was a peculiarly compelling heroine.
• The character everyone else loves that I don’t: tough one to answer, as I didn't follow the fandom and the only other person (save you) that I knew who watched Caprica was my husband. Umm... maybe Daniel? I felt sorrier and sorrier for him, but also annoyed at his selfishness. I guess you could say I didn't love him, but I loved watching him ;-)
• The character I love that everyone else hates: I enjoyed Sister Clarice no end, partly because she's such an improbable character (virtuous schoolteacher as monotheist terrorist) but also because, hey, Polly Walker. She always brings tremendous gusto (and vulnerability) to her baddie roles and looks like she's enjoying them to the hilt.
• The character I used to love but don’t any longer: hmm, tough one. I'm a bit disappointed in Lacy for taking on the role of Blessed Mother? My feelings towards Amanda fluctuated a lot during the series but I ended up respecting her more than at the beginning, so... that's a reverse answer, really.
• The character I would totally smooch/get friendly with: maybe Barnabas, but that's because of who he was played by ;-) Nah, I'm not attracted to any of the characters, which is ...fairly rare, actually. But I think it'd be amazing to have Lacy as a friend - another courageous and clever female character, yay! - provided she'd be as loyal to me as she was to Zoe, that is.
• The character I’d want to be like: Tamara, maybe. She was pretty kickass. I have to admire a girl who finds herself in a virtual universe and, despite her initial terror, manages to turn the whole thing around and RULE.
• The character I’d slap: oh, so many of them! Ben, for starters, for being such a damn stupid kid.
• A pairing that I love: I'd have liked to see Zoe/Tamara (that image of them together side by side on the ramparts in V-world was such a powerful one). Plus I'd also like to see Joseph/Daniel, mainly because it would thrill you to bits but also 'cause you've convinced me it could be hot.
• A pairing that I despise: I suppose most of the pairings (or, in Clarice's case, multiplings) are pretty dysfunctional, but the one that really hurts to remember is Zoe/Philomon. That little episode was just so horrible and agonizing to watch.
