Impetuous.

My husband and I enjoy a mixed marriage. He grew up thinking that the Daleks were terrifying. I, on the other hand, had virtually no exposure to Doctor Who, and do not even remember seeing a Dalek until five years ago.

As a result, when we watch New Who, hubs still has a strongly unpleasant visceral reaction to seeing a Dalek rear up on the screen. Whereas I... tend to coo.

*hangs head* Yes, it's true. I think the Daleks are cute as a button.

And, all right, scary metallic voice, but still. ( Look at them! )
